Of those two, the sst imo, but before you get one make sure you know you want a bi-level, for they are strange beasts...

RollinTrees, cool. If you want it and it's that cheap then go for it! I would look into trying a wood concave if you havn't skated one, they are way different compared to composites.

RollinTrees, try an oak or a new. you won't be dissapointed if you are going wood. Much better skates in comparison to a bi-level imo.

I have the zariel, great board and i used to ride a byerly legacy and vynil. But i picked up a sattelyte 40"fancy lads wood concave and fell in love. very diffrent rides.
the zariel is a nice ride, but a heavy board to throw around. Its very consistant though. The sattelyte is like 9 pounds or so and rotates so nice, and it sticks to your feet. And the feel of the wood board is so snappy/poppy. just try to ride both. The zariel is a great buy at $100 same with the sst.

buy both.
my friend has brought an oak (Ben Horran) rode it a fist full of times (its hardly a month old) and it has already broken, the pattern isn't even worn of the bottom and the dealer wouldn't replace it, its made me lose confidence in oak.

dirtysouthwakeskate, a board breaking really isn't the companies responsibility to replace. If it can be attributed to a construction defect, then it is, but otherwise, oh well. You know how many brand new skateboards I've seen get broke in their first day of being riden, countless, and people don't expect to have them replced. Rider error causes breakage and you just deal with it.

i have rode the sst 42 and the zariel 42. i like the zariel better b/c im not into a-sym shapes, but i thought the sst was a sick board too. if you have never hit a rail, and your board breaks within a year of purchase it should be replaced by your dealer or the company who produced the board. the zariel is more like a tank and the sst is more like a landcruiser i'd say.
