what i do is try to pop a huge ollie and shuv the board a bit with both feet (front foot backward, back foot frontward). i like doing them reentry and ts i/o the best they feel easiest. Its a tough trick to get perfect but after u start getting the hang of it, it will come alot more naturally. If you can get a vid up of you trying to help everyone on here out deliberate what your problem is!

Yeah, i've tried these too and i just pop it and it never spins enough. So, I guess we have the same problem. But everyone says i need to learn these before i learn front bigs so i guess this is probably an important trick to learn. I really wanna do bigs but i can't get this down

I think I learned front bigs before I ever really tried front shuvs.. I totally agree with what Alexxx said, but I think they're easiest with just a slight cut outside the wake.
And i/o front shuvs are so much fun, one of my fav tricks

I use my toes a lot when I throw them. Not so much my heel. Straighten off and pop a huge ollie, swoop your back foot towards the wake and spot your landing.

I also use pretty much all toe.
But i'd be surprised if mine were popped enough to clear a canadian maple leaf floating in the water...
That's why i like doing them i/o so much!

I use my back heel on 'em. Just push down like a normal ollie but as it comes back up my back foot is starting to spin in front of me and I just did my heel in more while doing this and then just go with the fs shuv motion. My front foot just gives a nice little toss to keep it under me.
See how my back leg is all out in front of me and the the front foot just chilling?
