Anyone every had this idea? Its very far fetched I know but I cant help but think how rad it would be to be able to RIDE your winch to the nearest spot.
One engine that drives the rear wheels and the spool but not at the same time. Some sort of switch mechanism would be needed to make this work.
Any major factors that you guys can think of that would make this impossible?

I want to do it with a gas powered golf cart, winch on the roof of the cart and get the cart street legal. do a search for switching spiral bevel gearboxes. its certainly not cheap but you could use one of those if you modeified the drivetrain of the go-kart a little bit.

boardertj, on a serious note... i've thought about how this same idea would work with an EZ-Go gasoline driven snack cart. with some fabrication, you could drive it to the water's edge, pop the hood open, put on your releasable spool, load the coolers up, and shred all day. i think it would be sick as hell!
