For reference, in case any of you are familiar with the area, i live on santa monica blvd. and vine st.

A few weeks ago, a 16 year old kid was shot dead at the bus stop half a block away at one in the afternoon. I could see this kids knee high socks sticking out from under the sheet from my roof top. Apparently it was gang related, as the shooter WALKED by. I suppose he had the decency to not drive by and blast everyone at the bus stop.I'm not positive but I have a feeling the kid who was shot was the same kid who stole my ipod and shoes a few days prior; there are a few of them that just go around the neighborhood stealing shizzle. Probably stole the wrong thing. Sad.

Every morning I wake up to a group of bums outside my window hollering about big gulps and who peed on whose pillow and so on. I get off of work tonight and find out that someone murdered one of them earlier this evening. I've yet to hear anymore details though. I'm hoping it wasn't the one who, as i walked by him to go to 7/11 on 7/11 with a girl and her dog, said to the girl, 'hey..hey..hey.. your dog looks better than you do'. In fact all of them are really nice and generally harmless. Probably just yelled at the wrong 'normal' person. Sad.

As i was about to type this, my brother called me with what is unfortunately a much more common occurrence than the previous two stories here. A fight broke out in the parking lot of the club he manages and a guy that was standing IN FRONT of my brother was shot. The shooter shot the guy, then fired again but missed, with the bullet going between my brother and the other manager.

WHAT THE FVCK IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?

Oh yeah, also, among my friends that ride fixed gears, on one of the rides they usually go on one of the randoms on the ride got shot in the back. Pretty sure he's alright now though.

People are crazy everywhere. I live in Knoxville, TN and a woman got shot in the face and killed at the laundromat a block away. I live in kind of a "rough" area I guess, but even in the suburbs like 10 miles from here some dude just got murdered in a Shoney's parking lot in broad daylight.

Concealed carry license time I reckon...

crime rate always goes up in the summer. but ya thats unfortunate. I donno how close you are to all this stuff but once the opportunity comes, i would move, just my 2 cents.
