Did anyone attend that thing? If so, how was the day, and how did you like the deck?

I was under the impression it did go on because itch made a post that said something about going over to thomas' if you're in the area because they're riding right now. I figured more people would have been talking about that deck, had they ridden it--good or bad. and you know, people seemed pretty keen on riding with thomas, so...

It's true though, integrity's board isn't for everyone. And I'm sure that the bi-lev isn't either. Pat mccarthy mentioned something in his blog that basically questioned how well it would work for beginners, and I kind of wonder the same thing. But it's hard to say because I've never seen it in action, I dont' know if it changes the mechanics of an ollie at all (and makes them more "skate" like).

Gregg, I don't know if you'll ever get an honest, unbiased answer to your question.

electricsnow,
I don't think the demo happened. I didn't get to Orlando until Thursday night, so I definitely didn't make it. I did, however, watch the video that Cassette had playing in their booth. That was the closest I got to riding this weekend.

I should have my hands on a bi-level very soon, so hopefully I will soon be able to answer some of your questions. Until then, all I can say is that it looks very sweet to me. I am really excited about the technology and the effect that it will have on our sport.

Also, I wouldn't rely on what Pat says when it is about wakeskating. j/j Very Happy Very Happy

electricsnow, from the way I heard Thomas talking about it, you don't change the mechanics, but the construction of the board makes the ollie look so much sweeter. Think Kyle Hyams ollie in that trailer, every single time.

Dave, is that comment out of spite because he kept on calling you doughboy in his blog? Very Happy God, I had to laugh at all of that..."I almost bought doughboy a pair of pacman shorts" or "I hope he doesn't get mad at me when he finds out I spent his doughnut money on internet access." Seriously though, I just kind of wondered it myself....but you know, I'll be the first to say that "i don't know."

Anyway, I'm very excited about the board too. I've expressed my interest in all of these new boards to dave, and I'm interested to see how other companies will react/try to keep up with some of these designs and advancements, but specifically the boards from integrity deal and cassette's bi-lev.
