Siberian Huskies are a very high maintenance dog. My brother did a lot of reading up to learn about that dog when he got his so it could be properly trained.

That said, I'd be afraid to sell any animal on craigslist...I'd really want to know my pet was going to a good home.

My sister just got a chihuahua with blue eyes for free... weird. Even more weird is it doesn't seem to be a neurotic barking ankle biter and has learned a bunch of tricks and it's only 11 weeks old.

fatstacey, i usually hate yip yip dogs, but that lil fawker is hella cute

mr.foonis, so you'd rather own a dog you can't afford to give a good life to rather then let someone else who can provide better? Neutral

triggamike, ZackFL(BRE), i put my emphasis in the wrong place there my meaning was that if i had to get rid of it i would find someone who i knew would care for it and not abuse or neglect it, like a family member of friend.

im not against getting rid of it if you cant take care of it, i just mean an online forum isnt the place to do it

sorry for the confusion

There are programs that can help you provide for your animal in hard times...

But all this $ales talk is getting my gears turning! Keep an eye out in the classifieds you might find a basset hound up for sale, used, still in decent shape comes with the strong ability to manipulate.

i almost had to sell my black lab when we moved into an apartment but we couldn't find the right place for him, we ended up sneaking him in for 3 weeks but we knew he wasn't happy coming from a big yard on a golf course that he got to play on. After the 3 weeks we let a family friend take care of him with a strong point that he was still mine and I could see him and take him whenever I wanted. I don't see him as much as I'd like but he's got a huge yard, gets baths in the master shower, and sleeps in the masterbed. As much as I want to see him everyday I know he's got the dream life for a dog.

I suggest trying to find a trusted friend with the resources to take care of him.
