Is it possible to make a skate outta lumber?

I see posts about people making wakeskates out of plywood and glueing it together. Could you just get a 3 inch thick/50 inch long/ 20 inch wide peice of lumber and carve out a skate? I wanna make a longboard skate with like a wakeboard design but wakeskate. Like 50" and swallow tail. Youd get alot of air, just hard to shuv it n stuff.

It's possible, but you'll need this for wanting to make it like a wakeboard. *hands skater a flameproof blankey*

It's better to do it in plys though.

there is already a thread kinda like this, the board would be kinda weak and really heavy, as well as more work then making a plywood board, its really not worth it Smash
