EJazzle, Compared to what? Lock-in rail tricks are very hard and require good board control, body position, and a good amount of rail experience... I know what you are saying and I think if you are worried about it, then maybe you aren't ready for locking in. Like I said, all those pics were on proto lipsticks that with less than HALF as much frontal surface area as the ones we are selling now... _________________ √ |

udders, New nugs, something nick d showed me the other day.
so people are not that experienced with nugs should buy a pair that are bigger (nugs/udders) first and then if they feel comfortable enough get some lipsticks?
I'm not worried about it. I just want to know if they are difficult to use for a person not so experienced with lock in tricks. _________________ TEAM FUN!!!!!!

EJazzle, The difference in height on the Udders and Lipsticks is less than a pencil width. The bigger a pair of nugs is, the more drag it's going to have = makes ollies feel uncomfortable when they are in the back = not better for those inexperienced with nugs. The 3mm-5mm difference in height is more than made up for with the feel... I'm over explaining this. _________________ √ |

You'd rather attempt making some out of wood, (which will not work) Over putting up a measly $15?
If you're that broke, maybe wakeskating isn't for you. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2VJfZOomIM |

EJazzle, Blake Steele didn't even want to try my board with lipsticks because he didn't think he'd be able to lock in on a nose slide. Not because of the size of them, but because he didn't think he was good enough. Me and Josh MADE him. later on in that set he was doing front noseblunt bigspin out, noseslide bigspin, back tails.. you name it. All in his first ever set trying to lock into something.
(I know you personally so i can say this to you)
Quit B!tching and get some!
Nick is right... The ones in Nick and The Bayou Boys pics are all about less then half the height of the production ones. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2VJfZOomIM |

Gnarly Dancer 42 has done a lot of DIY stuff with wakeskating, including building his own wakeskate. I can't fault him for wanting to try and experiment with building his own stuff for wakeskating. Lots of people did that and that's what helped popularize the whole nug thing in wakeskating (be it epoxied ping pong balls or golf balls). I love that about wakeskating. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

soy escuala, Idk why a poor man shouldnt wakeskate?? Thats like saying a rich man shouldnt walk on the side walk........ Just because you cant afford something, doesnt mean they shouldnt be able to experience life! And seeing that Gnarly has a computer and is on it frequently, i doubt hes poor. He probably just wants to make something with his hands and be creative!! Dont knock people for creativity!! |

electricsnow, counterpart, No, that's cool and all... It's just in another thread he ripped on integrity, and then on this one he said he likes them but he wants to make some of his own. It's like he has some grudge against supporting integ. It's just 15 bucks, these things are cheap.
It's cool if you want to be cheap and make your own, But they'll never be lipsticks.
$15 is nothing. You'll spend a lot more then that in materials to make your own. unless you have high grade urathane, a CNC machine and a good engineering background laying around. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2VJfZOomIM |

soy escuala, Don't be a tool.
These Lipsticks are just another option for locking in, let them speak for themselves... _________________ √ |

soy escuala, you confuse me
i just thought they looked like they worked really well, and i wanted to try to make some because it wouldnt cost anything. honestly, i'll probably buy some when they come out.....its a heck of a lot cheaper than any other lock in type deal out there _________________ http://www.stickandflick.com

soy escuala, Just because someone says something about Integ. its a big deal?? What about all the people that have ripped on other companys?? But just because its integ., if you rip on them it gets all serious, just because someone isnt as comfortable on an Integ?? I have a lot of respect for Integ and think they make great boards from what ive heard. But this thread is taking my respect away! If people are going to get pisssed because someone does not agree that they are as comfortable for them or they have had bad experience for some reason, then i dont want to be part of it! |

Small hydrodynamic lock in fins is another SERIOUS step in the right direction for wakeskating. So Stoked!
Good job team integrity!

nick is right i made some out of wood today to the specs that erich gave and they're almost exactly the same height as udders
i honestly don't think they're going to work but it was fun to make anyway
