when i use the throttle on my winch its hard to go the right speed and the speed is really inconsistent
does anyone know of a good way to use the throttle on one of these engines?

I cut the handle off a golf club and made it a lever it works great!!

if you look down from the top of the engine between the airbox and the exhaust box you can see a little nut down in between them. it's a 10mm and it's the tension nut for the throttle lever. tighten or loosen it to get a more or less stiff throttle response.

FULL THROTTLE just let it rip things top out like 22 which is no to bad

Gear it for the right speed at full throttle.

The longer the throttle lever the more precise it will be. I just used a screw driver handle.

mine came with a 8" gold metal rod that i hose clamped onto the throttle.

I used a deadmans throttle off an old race hyropane. it works great, you can even lock the throttle at a certian speed. You can probably find one used for cheap on a hyroplane racing form. it also has a return spring .
