You'd never think of Ohio as a scuba diving destination.. but sport diver magazine just had an article about a quarry with beautiful clear water where they sunk all kinds of stuff to make it a fun diving destination. helicopters, school bus, cars, boats, airplanes..
Any divers in the house? _________________ chance favors the prepared mind

some of the pics are creepy!
Fish stocks include walleye, bass and perch. Diver-fed rainbow trout have become Gilboa's equivalent of the Caribbean’s yellow snappers. And, if you are lucky, you may even see one of the many endangered paddlefish in the quarry’s far reaches.
Artificial reef sites include five boats, a school bus and a Volkswagen camper. There is a tethered diving bell, from which a semitrailer is suspended at 80 feet. _________________ chance favors the prepared mind |
