sick video for sure! Why doesn't he do many flip tricks? It's all shuvs and bigs or some grabbed move. While I love to watch him ride, I just realized he hardly ever throws in a kick... _________________ Fake it till you make it.

What impresses me is what the kid wrote about him that Grubb does not fall. That to me is amazing. He is a different style of rider who prefers to go big with a big meaty wake then do tricks on the side of the wake. It's like a vert skater vs a street skater. It also makes sense that he sticks to wake tricks because he generally rides with wakeboarders. That is how he started off in the Pointless crew and that's just his crew. They wakeboard and he skates. Remember that it was only 7 or 8 years ago that Grubb was a pro wakeboarder for hyperlite. His section in hype was pretty sick. Whatever he is doing, he should stick to it because he has a laundry list of the best sponsors you can seems to make them pretty happy. He is definitely one of the few (5-6) wakeskaters that actually make enough money to live a decent life. Grubb, Aaron Reed, Reed H, Nick T, Stu Shinn, and Danny Hampson are probably the only guys who truly can support themselves without having to eat fast food every day from their sponsor money.
Chad Sharpe who I would say is one of the top 5-10 wakeboarders out there with big sponsors makes less that $50k a year. That puts it into perspective on how much these guys are earning. I guess at the same time, they don't have expenses like we do. Free boat, free clothes, free ENERGY DRINKS, free food and board whenever they travel, free airfare. Really the only thing these guys have to pay for is their car, house and gas, but something gives me a feeling they have some sort of deal setup with gas for their boat which wouldn't surprise me if some of it accidently poured into their truck. So with all of those expenses taken care of, I guess 50k is more like 75+ |

well said kyle.............
not that anyone was on this post, but i'm sick of people hating on grubby. wakeskating isn't all about kickflips (which he does). |

I've really come to appreciate Grubb's way of riding a lot more in the last couple years...
kyle, Dude, just curious, what's your fascination with how much money people make? Seems like a really stereotypical wakeboarder thing, just wondering if that's really what it is... _________________ √ |
