|
|
| Hey everybody, I was just curious what you all thought of the rubberized grip tape offered by Kampus. I own a Gate, and my girlfriend owns a K41 with the soft grip (she won it here on that wakeskating game contest). I dunno, I find the soft grip a tad bit slippery for my tastes. I kinda like the super-sticky feeling of my EVA. |

| Are you talking about griptape in general? I mean specifically the soft grip. I will say one thing that I like about it. It's really easy to recover foot position. I screwed up just a basic ollie on it and landed with my front foot half off and was able to pull it back no problem. |

| i have EVA, but i think it is too slipery. I have never tried grip tape, but my next board will be griptape. I am still sceptical about griptape because when i would skateboard in the rain the grip would get slippery, but hey, if its grippier than foam. |

| See that's just it. I don't think it is grippier. Nothing beats wet foam with shoes. It sticks right to it. Grip's feature is that it LETS you slide around... to flick your kickflips and what not. |

But overall i like the feel of grip tape better. |

| Has anyone ever had their EVA tear? It seems like dragging around on it might tear it up. |

| How does Kampus EVA compare to Hyperlite EVA? |

| kampus is to hyperlite as a ferrari is to a hyundia way better but i would go with regular grip because ive try all of kampus' grips. the soft grip falls off very easily and the foam restiricts foot movement. last weekend i did a 90 on lipslide 270 off with my swing which has grip tape and my feet were on the edge hanging off about 3 inches lucky i had griptape and was able to go into spread eagle stance before i fell and rode away and easily got my footing back to normal. if i had my foam board or soft i would have fallen. |
