i know most of you like integrity better but thats not what this is about.
i'm thinking of getting an integrity and i wanted to know if anybody here has switched from an sst to an integrity i know integs are lighter than sst's so i didnt know if the weight change would be hard to get used to

just get an integ and learn to ride it. that way you won't have to warranty your board after the 1st set. but honestly the sst is the least bi of all bi levels i think. plus if you don't like the integrity it will be easier to sell probably than going the other way.

i've switched from a sst 42 to a integ team 41 and it was a pretty huge difference

it takes like half the work to 3 shuv the integ, but its less consistent of a spin, especially in choppy water

i switched from a 40.5 sst to a lemons pro and they are near opposites opposites. these are my observations about the two boards

Grip:
The integrity has slightly more concave in the middle of the board and has prekick concave on the nose and tail to lock your back foot in. The sst has much wider concave in the middle with no concave on the nose and tail. overall the integrity locks your feet in better both in the middle and on your back foot. the concave on the integrity also feels a little bit taller which helps to catch your foot on flip tricks.

shape:
while the lemons and the sst are very close to the same size, the integrity feels narrower than the sst , which i think make ollie power better. overall the integrity feels like a much smaller board than the sst does. IMO.

weight:
the sst is much heavier than the integ. my lemons weighs in at about 7 pounds while the sst is about 11 or 12. for those who like and have grown accustomed to heavier boards the weight of the integrity takes some getting used to. the integrity is more vulnerable to being caught by the wind but the lightness of the integrity make it easier to shifty and still manage to bring the board back straight.

pop:
the sst pops big very consistently. the integrity pops HUGE but it is much more difficult to get down getting that massive pop. i found this to be the case despite the fact that bi's are supposed to have more pop. i was able to get more wake to wake pop on the integrity than on the sst, but that could be down to the speed difference between the two boards on the edge in.

Ride:

speed:
the sst rides much slower than the integrity... the integrity also slides much faster than the sst

Edging: the sst feels like it relies much more on the workings of the fin than on the rails themselves. the sst transitions between edges rather slowly. generally the sst feels like it takes more energy to get it to edge. The integrity, while it is very loose when it is flat, has very biting rails and takes very little energy to get the board to track on its edge. it carries much more speed on edge. generally the sst feels like its edges rely heavily on fins while the integrity has a very biting, solid edge.

general feel:
the integrity feels very loose on the water but it is able to bite its rails and edge very well while the sst tracks very solidly and drags much more. the integrity is much more responsive while the sst takes longer to react. the sst rides much better in rough water because of the wood bottom deck and because its a bi. personally i feel much more in control of the integrity and i feel that it gives more feedback to the water. on the integrity i feel much more connected and like i can tell what is going on underneath me better.

lastly:
the integrity has a steeper learning curve than the sst. the integrity releases much more quickly on flats tricks and off the wake than the sst does. the sst is a much more forgiving board than the integrity. the integrity does not respond well to mobbed kickflips while the sst requires a bit more of a mob. the integrity requires much more finesse than the sst.

This is just my opinions and observations about these two boards. they are two completely different boards and the integrity takes a while to get used to. but i love my integrity and would never go back. its all just personal preference.

hope this helps. just ask if you have any more questions

i had an sst and did not like the a-sym, even though i thought i would. the tnt bamby i briefly rode was too small for me, but had the most in touch feel of any skate i have ever rode. im still not an integrity groupie yet, but im getting there. i know that buywake will let you buy a board and send it back if you dont like how it rides, but i think it might just be for store credit so that would not help if you wanted to get an integrity. buywake does have the best customer service around. everyone from ambush/buywake is great people so warranty would not be an issue ont he sst. good luck with your choice. consider the simplex
