Need Your Help! If Possible...

Hey guys! Yesterday unfortunately I broke my 09 sst's top deck, that I bought no more than a month and a half ago. Now I have no board to ride and I don't want to spend another $400 on something that is going to break again. I don't want to go back to LF, I've just had to many problems with there quality. They make great shapes, but bad quality.

So, I was looking at some oaks and I think the board that would be best for me is the 09 team. If anyone has one they can sell, I would really appreciate it, as I really don't want to bust out close to $300 for a new one. If not thanks anyways!

David_Roehm, you broke the composite top deck?
do you still have an 08?
you can drill out the threads and bolt it on the 09 bottom

David_Roehm, Isn't it under warranty still? Warranty it, sell it, and then buy a board that will last you.

POPTART, Yea I broke the composite top deck. I don't have an 08 sst. Thanks for the advice though.

chriscut, I have already gone down that route. They don't warranty boards that have hit rails.. That was the first thing that came to my mind also.

David_Roehm, ive hit rails with every lf board i have ever owned
and i still get them warrantied...just talk to your local rep

they are really good about getting their stuff taken care of

POPTART, Im not sure who my local rep is lol.. but i bought the board off boardstop, if i contacted them you think it would do anything?

That sucks, how'd you break it? If you get stuck with it I'll buy the bottom off you (if it is 40.5?) or trade you a board for it

Brett Leadley, I broke it on an under rotated fs flip. Ya Its the 40.5, and don't worry about it man, if i don't figure something out you can have the bottom deck for free, you just pay shipping! haha Cool

Well Jimmie can act as your rep even though you didn't buy the board from him. I have done this with motorcycle tires that i bought off ebay. My buddy was a rep for that company and just acted as a middle man between me and the company.

if he is willing to do that for you

if not i might be able to ask around

and worst case senario ill but that bottom from you and youll have some flow to grab a new board

Tell them you're pissed at them and will never buy their gear again because of the problems you have had.. A good company would flex their own rules to keep a customer happy. It's worth a shot.

I know I would be super pissed to pay that much and have it break.

i warantied a beat up 08 for a brand spanking new 09
lol

so LF should take care of you

just talk to your rep
or local LF dealer

Hey guys! I emailed LF and the said they would warranty it, but I have to send my board in first.

On a side note I need a 09 oak team, because once I get that SST back its going up for sale. Any one have one?

i thought those new sst's were supposed to be like impossible to break?

just spray paint the bottom with some random colors and cover up any scuff marks from the rails

rails should only affect the warranty on the bottom deck anyways. im sure it broke from being split by the water.
