So I have left my winch in my friend's backyeard since febuary and I have not been by his house since then. I dont know if it's still covered because all I put over it was his kiddie pool he had sitting in his yard.

Will my engine be completely messed up if it has been exposed to the elements of nature for that long??? Im supposed to be studying for my finals right now and that's all I can think of........... Im going to go get it this afternoon after I take the test and I don't know what to expect when I see it

If it's been sitting out in the weather for that long then there's a chance that the engine is F-ed but then again you never know. I left a lawnmower outside and uncovered for about a year I put a new plug in it, changed the oil, and then drained and refilled the gas tank before trying to start it and it smoked a little at first but it ran fine

we have left our winch outside in the rain on the beach for about 2 month last year, it started, worked and ran fine for ages untill, we put it back in the shed for a week. it never started again. random but it was a cheep engine and lasted 2 years so, cant really complain.
