I was running my winch yesterday and it was pulling good, but then on my last pull it wouldnt even pull me up. I went and looked at my TAV and metal covering held on by the bolt on the first pulley had popped out of place. The belt was really loose and was just spinning on the back pulley. Also the spool was stuck in place and couldnt even be turned with your hand. I tried for a while to fix it but I have no idea whats wrong. I'll try to get some pics up but if anyone has any suggestions that would be great |

just unscrew the bolt connected to the tav closest to the gas tank, refit the tav drum/covering it fits in like a puzzle, you might want to add some loctite to that screw. If your winch is pulling slow it is probably because your tav drum is bent and doesn't fit in the puzzle and comes off track during the pull. Once you fix this if your winch still gives you trouble pulling the rope as if its stuck, start her up and give her full throttle for a split second and it should be good after that _________________ www.jimizwakenskate.com

that metal covering that covers the first pulley keeps coming lose. the bolt really isnt coming unscrewed, just when the winch gets up to speed that first pulley is messing up. |

That’s pretty unpossible. That bolt holds that cover down. Either you never had it installed the right way, or it is backing itself out.
The only way your post would be correct, is if you didn’t install the included washer on the bolt. Try a dab of Loctite to stop it from backing out. _________________
