Yeah so like i said in a previous post, i went on loopd to try and get some cheap monster energy drinks. Turns out there are a few good companies on there and it seems like its pretty much apply and be sponsored. Anyhow Osiris shoes was the only shoe company on there but they sent an email out saying their funding was cut and they are switching all of their "riders" onto GLOBE. F*ck yes I love globe, osiris not so much. Anyhow, 40% off all globe shoes and apparel just for filling out a very short and simple application. SO GO SIGN UP AND GET SOME SHOES AND BOARDIES FOR THE SUMMER. I really have no idea if people get rejected on this site, so give it a whirl. |

Agreed. Talk about a wait to ruin the reputation of sponsorships. It's not even sponsorships if you're still paying for the product. And what do you have to do as a new found representative of the companies? Whatever... good luck to you! _________________ Fake it till you make it.

I'm just asking how it works. I signed up and I see nothing about where you can just go buy shoes for cheap... _________________ Fake it till you make it.

denskiesATX, ummmm, ok let me guess, you are one of the kids on loopd claiming all of those companies to be your real sponsors? I've been "really sponsored" for wakeboarding and it is nothing like this and takes much more than just filling out an online app. This isn't defaming the companies in any way and to me this gives a bunch of kids who don't have what it takes a false sense of ability and also allows them to go around and act all "sponsored" which is just damn annoying. It isn't any small companies on their so I figured I would help everyone stick it to the man and get some good deals.
Toxis, its a site basically for little kids to get fake sponsorships. Basically more advertising. There is no moving up in the companies that you get "sponsored" by. You click on the company and click "apply for sponsorship". You fill out a 3 question resume that is the same for every company ie copy and save your resume in microsoft word and apply. Within 2 weeks I have found every company that you apply two sends you a "you have been accepted" email with your "contract" basically giving you 30% off their product and for Globe it was 40%. They aren't real sponsorships by any means and the site is just a way for kids to buy more of the companies product then they normally would in the store. Globe happens to be doing it and I thought since they make a pretty cool wakeskate shoe, you guys (my friends) would have been interested in getting them being that from what I thought, most of us don't have a gazillion $$ to throw around. I got a pair of shoes for $40 so I was pretty happy about that. I'm not throwing a globe sticker on my board btw. |

I dont understand how you can talk shiit to me for being friends with my reps and getting sick hookups via proforms, and then get on here and promote some fake sponsorship site. |

denskiesATX, i didn't talk sh*t about your proforms. I just said I thought it was funny that you have worked at a shop for 6 years just to get discounts on gear. Nor did I mention one word about you being friends with your reps nor did I mention anything about "sick hookups" via proforms. But now that you brought it up, who honestly says that they "pro-formed" a board. You obviously wanted everyone to know that you were kind-of sponsored by saying that. I am just giving everyone on here the opportunity to get some cheap gear through what I consider a "glitch" it the system. Not all of us work at a shop and can afford new gear all the time so I wanted them to get good deals too. I don't see telling all of my wakeskating compadres how to get a 30%+ discount on gear that cost the company $1 to make wrong at all. And I'm sorry but when you work at a shop, don't call it "pro-formed" because you are just getting the shop discount. I'm sorry that it pisses you off that there is a way to get the same discount you get without having to work at a shop and I told everyone about it. Now we ALL CAN BE PRO-FORMED just like you and be one big happy pro-formed family. HOOOOORAY .....
ps my fake sponsorship is just as real as your fake sponsorship..

Toxis, that works too but my experience with a couple of those sites has been slightly sour, and this way you don't have to check the site everyday to see if a new item that you are looking for popped up. For some reason every time I have ordered from one of those sites it has taken 2-3 weeks to be delivered. Is the delivery man walking my gear from where it is being shipped or something? But yeah, you don't have to use loop'd but it is just another way to get some discounts, so for the people who are interested I provided the information that I have discovered. It really does save you a ton of money though. |

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.... I'm bored with this topic.
kyle, I've bought stuff from those sites and they always ship the stuff within 2 business days so it takes under a week to get it. Guess your mailman drinks from the same Hateraid Fountain. _________________ Fake it till you make it.
