I'm at work until 5 or so today. I'm picking it all up on my lunch break. Will get pics up later tonight.
It's nothing special, just solid aluminum disks with holes for adjustable inner diameter, and a pipe through the whole thing to go around the axle.(they didn't have very thick sheets so I might reinforce it all by putting cutting disks on the outsides). Anyone know how thick the aluminum has to be if it's a solid plate and if reinforcing it is necessary? I'll be running bolts through it to adjust diameter and keep it solid as well. |

Not 100% sure yet, haha. That along with some other work I had to get done he had at a little over $200 but I talked him down to just under $200. Still seems a little high to me but I wasn't too adament about talking him down because I built my entire frame and got the materials for it for free. I'll probably try and get a better price if the quality isn't good enough but these guys seemed to know what they were doing. |

I skipped eating lunch to pick everything up. Now I'm hungry, but ignoring it because of how excited I am. Everything turned out pretty well. It's clearly a hand made piece of love but it's solid, haha. $200 flat (including my frame work also).
I called the local Northern Equip. and they have the last piece to my puzzle and I'm picking it up tonight! If all goes well I should have a working winch (minus rope) by the end of the weekend! Now all I need is a paint color... |

ZackFL(BRE), For sure. It'll probably be another couple of weeks before I can get a rope, but I'll keep you in the loop. |

i used 1/4 inch aluminum plate for the sidewalls of my spool and had cutouts done to lighten them up and they are strong as hell and wont need reinforcing with anything |
