John boat question

For the the people getting pulled by john boats. Can these things handle a 20-30 Hp motor when it says it's rated for 10 HP? or would a need a 16ft boat?

If it's like 14 feet...then probably. 12 feet is getting pretty short. We have a 12' w/ a 9.9 on the back and I think anything past 15 would probably be retarded.

Depends on the motor too...if it's an older one or a newer four stroke...they tend to be heavier/bigger then newer two strokes.

16' would probably be best.
