hey guys, i bought a winch that had a plastic spool and it broke, now i dont want to buy one from bulletlines, any ideas. pics and prices, and where to find it would also be a help, thanks.

If you have the resources I would suggest making your own it's sooooo much cheaper. I have under $50 in mine. I cut 2 circles out of diamond plate steel for the spool sides and used all thread and metal conduit for the inside of the spool

it won't even cost you 50 dollars if you have a acetylene torches and can cut it yourself. I just used 1/8" steel plate.

go get some metal sanding discs. they come in all different sizes. i think its what was used on the old tahitian.

mojo, the bad thing about using those is they can wear your rope down really fast

coat em in sealant or gorilla tape.

ok, i was thinking of buying something already round, ya kno, save me that hassle of fuking up, i wrk at a marine and could do it, but i have a special project winch i am gunna be designing, and it is sick. but yeah the guy i bought it from had good intetions but it is big and heavy so i am gunna resize it and well once it is done i def will post some pics, but i need to redo my spool since it snaped it half. also should i chang the oil in it and whats the best to use, i got a honda 6.5 hp. but if i did do it i would have trouple drilling the holes in the right spots, put up some pics of how you did yalls, thanks, jeff
