After reading scott a "venting" on the topic of conxion, he had what i thought to be a pretty good point...the fact that there are so many "wakeboard/wakeskate clothing companies." I was just wondering what everyone thought about this, and also what you think of them advertising on our forums, revolution and fluid actually interact, but it seems others just come on to advertise and then peace out on us. i dont like that.
also, what makes clothing "wakeboard/wakeskate" clothing? _________________ JMU |

I like these companies that come advertise and STAY here, in fact, I just ordered a shirt from RC and one from Fluid too. They interact, the companies that just advertise and leave are pretty ghey
To make clothing wakeskate/wakeboard it has to be FWBW |

Yea I agree if they participate in the community they are definately worth supporting, but if not then I question how into wakeskating they are, it's not like Dave's site has a lot of competition, so if there not interested in us, why should we show interest in them?? _________________ why dont you try playing hide and go Fvck yourself |

to be honest i feel like another company lost in the world of wake clothing companies. Its very frustrating. But im not going to dog on them thats for sure. Everyone is bringing there own flavor to the table and i think its great...and to the best of luck to all the companies out there. Eventually some companies will get weeded out and only a few will stand tall. Good luck to all. _________________ ::REVOLUTION CONCEPTS::

| yeah but graphics that are pictures are really hard to make clear on shirts, and expensive and some people think the look weird, i like the drawn images on the fluid shirts, not just because i ride for them, but i think they do look better than most shirts cuz they asctually have a riding graphic |

I don't think people should hate on a company that advertises on here, but doesn't "interact." Some people that have companies do it for a living, and they have other priorities besides chatting on a message board. Since I have butter in my sig, I'll use paco as an example. He's been an entrepreneuer from day one, with his mag "tiempos" (that he sold) and then the butter print version, and then the wakeskating book. Now he has his own clothing line and a botique in miami (and I know he'll freelance his design skills for other magazines like concussion). So as you can tell, it's not like he'd have a lot of time to chill on here. And I respect the hell out of him because he really DOES love wakeskating and skateboarding and in regards to his career, he's making everything happen for himself.
And in general, not everyone likes to put up with the politics that will surface on a message board.
I think you have to look at their actions and passion. Do they really care about wakeskating? What have they done for wakeskating? Etc, etc. Quite frankly, I think a company supporting wakeskating.com by advertising is a good start. Not only are they supporting something YOU"RE interested in (the MB) but they may also have kickdowns in the form of online contests, etc.
So that's my take on it. And you know, I could say more but I won't. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

revolutionconcepts, Your stuff is bitchin man, if I wasn't dumping money into a winch, on top of school starting again I'd be all over that, as soon as me and the rest of team pirate get some scratch together look for an order soon after, (keep me posted on when you might drop that graphic Erich made)
electricsnow, I see your point, but however lots of companies do participate in the site in a very genuine way even if it's on a somewhat small scale. Some people I've seen participate in the site in either a large or small measure: Integrity, Revolution Concepts, Fluid, Cassette, Rewind, and all these peole seem to have pretty solid support on here, and even if we don't purchase there product all these people have respect on this site. that's not a coincidence IMO, that was my point. _________________ why dont you try playing hide and go Fvck yourself |
