it is still a concave but one side is wider than the other or something, some kind of marketing idea just so they can jack up the prices prolly, but either way, the skate will be tight

Kyle, you might want to research this stuff before you start talking out of your a...

Anyway, the reed is a 4trac. It does have concave and it is asymmetrical (the nose is wider than the tail). The reasoning is because you have some extra surface area to nose and tail slides, and the extra surface area also helps out with switch ollies. It's not a gimmic and it's not some BS marketing idea, it's proven skate technology that happens to work with a wakeskate.

so i basically said the exact same thing as you did without sounding all professional. can you please show me the study that proves that the new design is beneficial to the consumer. see, i base cassettes reasoning for putting this new product out on a simple supply and demand demand curve. As technology is developing, the demand for new products is increasing, and with the increasing demand must come supply. cassette needed to put out a "new" product because its competitors are way ahead of their ideas. by saying their skate was asymetrical, they are simply keeping up with the competition. if we were to actually perform a true study, i would assume that the assymetrical skate would have no true effect on the ride or performace of the skate. all that a true assymetrical skate would allow is a different style of ride depending on which direction the board is facing. by increasing the surface area, you are increasing the opportunity for error, and besides, last years 4-trac had plenty of "surface area" for tailslides. so show me the proof electricsnow, or is it not really there? Shocked
