So I am thinking about investing in a LF SST. I've never ridden a bi-level before, but I'd really like to give them a try. I currently ride an Oak Lifetrap and I was wondering if anyone knew if that would be a tough transition to make or not.
Lemme know what you guys think.
Thanks brus. _________________ Only the evil live to see their own likeness in stone. |

It's very different and like almost everything else, up to personal preference. If you have a chance to try one before you get one I'd recommend it. (I notice your from Sarasota, if you'd like to try out a wood bi-level let me know and maybe we can get together sometime and you can give it a few test runs)
As far as what I have noticed, bi levels seem to amplify everything that you do, good or bad, and even though they're heavy, the pop makes up for it and then some. They do take a little getting used to so it's worth while to take a few runs with one. This is all based off of my experience with wooden bi-levels and I've never ridden the SST so it may be a little different, but probably somewhat similar.
I don't know if you're interested in other bi-level skates, but Devotid's are great. Great shape, durable (i've hit lots of rails with mine), solid of pop, plus Kevin's just an all around cool dude who's trying to push wakeskate technology. Sorry for rambling, I'm bored at work. |

I went from a New Mogley to a Devotid Union last season and I really liked how different it felt and so I also purchased a Devotid Passion which imo is just absolutely SICK I f-ing love that deck. I switch it up between the 3 boards depending on if I'm winchin' or behind the boat and the condition of the water the Mogley and Passion ride fine in rough water but the Union beats the hell out of me when it's rough. As for making the transition from a concave to a bi for me it was nothing it took me like 3 sets to really get a feel for the different boards. I say go for it I hear the SST is da bomb _________________ Go Balls Deep Or Go Home |
