my friend went last weekend... only reason i didnt go was the amount of cheddar it costs.... he spent a grand.... got a 4 hour class on friday then a 4 hour class on sat.... jumped sat afternoon and the money he spent covered the 2 jumps he did on sat plus 5 more sometime later.... he said it was way better jumping solo after taking the class cause they go over every possible scenario and he was prepared... the tandem jumpers did a 30 min class and was shittin their pants on the way up...

dude worth so much more than the price. I'm working on my A license and now im by myself with an instructor observing and telling me what to do and it is completely undescribable and the coolest thing I've ever been a part of. I've been goin every weekend and plan on keepin it that way

its the freest feeling you can imagine. the first tandem is amazing then you get to go by yourself with instructors holding on and its 80000 times better than the tandem. then the instructors let go and its 80000 times better than the instructors holding on. the freedom never quits...it only gets freer. absolutely incredible.

my spring break is gonna be in gulf shores to jump everyday and land on the beach. i can't wait

JeffKnox, the tandem class really isnt anything. the solo or aff class really just scares the shizzle outta you showing you every possible scenario and how to fix it. but good god after it you really start to question why the hell you would want to do this.

...then you do it and remember. Very Happy

In DeLand its $138 for a tandem jump and $80 for a video and picture package. I did it once and it was amazing. Totally worth every penny. It's definitely something everyone should do atleast one time before they die.

stompin9s, parachutes for recreational skydiving don't open with the same force that military jumps use. Trust me, your shoulder will be fine. Smile

I'm hoping i can do it this spring break I'm pretty sure I want to do it regularly and become certified. I'm leaning towards Accelerated Free Fall to start. How often do I have to jump to retain certification once certified?

Parker, to get your license you have to jump at least once every 30 days
