Best movies that most haven't seen

Any suggestions for that good "indi" film that not many people know about? Or perhaps a "b" movie done by a good studio, but not really advertised?

There are movies that come out of nowhere and really take us by surprise, becoming cult classics like Resevoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, The Usual Suspects, Boondock Saints, American History X, and SLC Punk.

There are other movies equally good that don't reach cult status, like "In America", "Just Another Day in Paradise", "American Me", "The Life of David Gale", and "Arlington Road" to name a few.

Basically, I am looking for movies that don't get a ton of advertisement that you consider a must see. I tend to really dig drama, thrillers, action, and comedy (not real big on horror). No matter the genre, I appreciate a movie that leaves me thinking afterwords (like "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"), more specifically, a movie that makes a point or says something. A movie I can empathize with and laugh or cry or feel angry with. Movies are like books, the good one draw you in intellectually and emotionally.

Thats not to say that occasionally we can't have an ADD movie that requires no though and its just flat out action in you face, but I am more looking for something witty, moving, ect, and something that is probably unknown to most. Thanks.

Not really sure if its "indi" status but Saint Ralph was really good. Wasnt to big as i recall. Definitely one of my favorites as an all around solid movie.

triggamike, No joke. That movie brings me ultimate sadness.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang was an awesome movie that didn't do very well for some reason, not really indy. Gummo and FUBAR are indy movies that are pretty awesome if you haven't seen them. Gummo is another movie that will make you feel weird about yourself.
