Didn't skateboard before you started wakeskating?

I always messed around and could ollie on a skateboard but never really pursued skateboarding until after I started to wakeskate.

Just wondering if anyone else on here is the same or if most of yall are dedicated skatassss

I have the uptmost respect for skateboarding, but I usually learn tricks on a skateboard after I've learned them on a wakeskate. I wish it was as fun to me as wakeskating is, but it just isn't.

Skateboard videos can also be way more entertaining than a video of someone wakeskating who is just doing the same tricks as everyone else.

i used to skate a little bit, could only do a couple of things but was never that good. i suck now but its still fun as hell to skateboard.

i skated for a while before wakeskating, i was alright, nothing special.

wakeskating > skateboarding.
water is so much more inviting than concrete. and landing new tricks on the wakeskate makes me feel so much better than when id be working on a trick on the skateboard for a while

I rode some bowls and ramps and stuff before wakeskating but the board never left my feet, I started really getting into skateboarding in the winter of 06 and it took a while to get the basic concepts but now I love it. It does something completely different for me than wakeskating.

I'm not really sure how to explain it, but the combined joy of wakeskating, skateboarding, and surfing (and music) seems to give me my fix anytime I need it...
