It is made of aluminum but it is a car cargo rack for the back of your car

it looks good, but I would make it shorter. It looks like there will be lots of excess space on the frame

Yeah I can shorten it like 6 or so inches but I'm not shure if I'm guna hassel doing it. I just tried moking everything up today to see how it would look

looks good, ally should be light but still strong enough, how you gonna mount your spool to the frame? the sides of the frame look a little thin for plumb block bearings.

I'm going to get some plates welded in the bottom and then attach them to that but I'm thinking either 1x2 or 2x2 the front setup is wood right now but it's going to be made out of aluminium to

1 x2 would be okay, i guess just make sure its pretty thick too, since alot of the work and load bearing is done on the bearing mount points

Yeah I was going to make shure it was pretty thick since a lot of tension will be on it
