S'up everyone? got a question on restoring a a wood deck wakeskate.
A friend of mine has a Phriction 113 skate, a couple of months back, we lost the EVA foam that was layed out on the deck. Now I got the idea to repair some of the damage to it, fiberglass the deck (to seal it) and slap some new griptape on it.
anybody ever done this before? and have some tips on doin it I'd appreciate it this' my first shot at doin' this so I'm tryin to get all the info I can before I get started. |

quik876, Unless you are good with fiberglass, you might want to try spar urethane. Fiberglass can be a bit messy...

It's an oil-based urethane sealant for wood... _________________ -Paul |

no it's not like fiberglass... but if you want to do some small repairs you can just fill any dings/cracks with wood putty and seal it with spar.
there's no point in encasing the entire board in fiberglass IMO. especially a Phriction _________________ -Paul |

| quik876, yeah i use to have one of those, all i did was spray paint it that same gold color on the sides and on top then slapped some jessup grip on their. It worked fine for the rest of the time I used it. Mine was an 06 btw. |
