…had a kid the day I joined the wakeskating.com forums, today would be his 5th birthday. I remember my 5th birthday, so that means it’s a pretty long time Laughing

This site and the community here have been my friends, my enemies, my addictions, and my life. The way wakeskating presented itself to me through these forums back then was an image of laid back passion. No one took anything each other said too seriously, but there was a mutual understanding that we were part of something that the rest of the world didn’t know or understand. We were the brotherhood of the unknown shred. There were no ulterior motives, because none of it mattered except for what it meant to us. We shared random stories, we had inside jokes, we picked on each other, and even figured out who we were as a clique Laughing

Wakeskating has consumed me from the day I landed my first shuv (which I didn’t land until a while after joining the site. I claimed them just so I wouldn’t be excluded Mad

I was 14, sue me) and I probably wouldn’t have been so drawn to it, had it not been for wakeskating.com and the crazy personalities that make wakeskating so fun and unique. Wakeskating has given me sooooo much and I am reminded everyday by the blue and green that it all started somewhere and never to take it for granted, it could be anyone... It’s all about the love.

I love all of you, thanks for wakeskating…

Reading that clique thread makes me laugh. Laughing

I <3 the 2004 hurricanes... I likely wouldn't have ever started skating if it wasn't for the retention pond filling with 6" of water behind my house (and a car with a 300ft rope on it).

I know exactly what you mean. I was/am the same way. I have noone within 40-50miles who I can get to go wakeskate with me. I've tried getting the random wakeboarders who also wakeskate to start wakeskating more but no dice. From day one this site has been my main connection to wakeskating.

The inside jokes, the clubs, the AIM chats, the countless threads of random jibber jaber, the pictures, the stoke, the videos, the stories, the memories and most importantly the FRIENDS and opportunities that wakeskating and this website have given me will NEVER be taken for granted as well.

This is a thank you.

this site has given so much to its users. i've been on here since 2002...the site was all red back then. Horrell and Reed seemed to post daily and a Cassette was THE wakeskate to have. i remember when Nick was a newbie Laughing
