I am pretty uneducated on this subject. Can anyone tell me the 1st. person to ever build one or use one?

Who came up with this delightful contraption???

Pretty sure the guys who were behind Blackbox winches had the first prototype which was used in Sfumato.

Tony Robinson created the first winch for wakeskating.

black box was not the first winch, it was an early one for sure though.
