Pretty damn good... you know something is up when a Republican is saying his own party has gone too far and a Dem is the right choice.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gz49wFWgSR8
And it is permitted to be said such things as, "Well, you know that Mr. Obama is a Muslim." Well, the correct answer is, he is not a Muslim, he's a Christian. He's always been a Christian. But the really right answer is, what if he is? Is there something wrong with being a Muslim in this country? The answer's no, that's not America. Is there something wrong with some seven-year-old Muslim-American kid believing that he or she could be president? Yet, I have heard senior members of my own party drop the suggestion, "He's a Muslim and he might be associated terrorists." This is not the way we should be doing it in America.
I feel strongly about this particular point because of a picture I saw in a magazine. It was a photo essay about troops who are serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. And one picture at the tail end of this photo essay was of a mother in Arlington Cemetery, and she had her head on the headstone of her son's grave. And as the picture focused in, you could see the writing on the headstone. And it gave his awards--Purple Heart, Bronze Star--showed that he died in Iraq, gave his date of birth, date of death. He was 20 years old. And then, at the very top of the headstone, it didn't have a Christian cross, it didn't have the Star of David, it had crescent and a star of the Islamic faith. And his name was Kareem Rashad Sultan Khan, and he was an American. He was born in New Jersey. He was 14 years old at the time of 9/11, and he waited until he can go serve his country, and he gave his life. Now, we have got to stop polarizing ourself in this way. And John McCain is as nondiscriminatory as anyone I know. But I'm troubled about the fact that, within the party, we have these kinds of expressions.
fiznackling golf clap.

Are you saying he's backing who he thinks will win so he can keep a job? LOL
Even if that's the case, it doesn't make what he said about the candidates and the Republicans any less true. _________________ chance favors the prepared mind |

Powell is a very intelligent man. I've read a few things from him and this sums up most of his work. He is above racism and discrimination and views people for who they really are... human beings. This is how we all must be in order for our country to finally be free of this shizzle. _________________ www.kcwatersports.com |

skimboarder, I hope you forgot
Hard to detect sarcasm on the internet.
Whether someone is behind Obama or not, there are actually people out there who believe exactly what you wrote. Those people are idiots... if you weren't being sarcastic, then you sir, are an idiot |

You are an extremely typical republicant who believes what you are told as truth without investigating or doing ANY research of the validity of what you heard. You are also dead wrong about his association with terrorists

How do we know Mccain isn't a terrorist? Oh I know how, his name is John, not a damn terrorist name lol
It's hilarious, no one can prove Obama has these true ties, yet everyone keeps talking about it, and the stupid people keep repeating it as if it were truth. (no offense intended for you, I'm speaking generally ) _________________ chance favors the prepared mind |

William is not a terrorist name either, and by the way, there are terrorists in this country who look like all your friends, and have the same name, Mr. informed.
Go do your research.
And you know what, I am going to have the audacity to straight up call him a liar. You can't sit in a church for 20 years and not know the morals and values of your preacher. PLEASE try to dig yourself out of that one.
Why does he seem to have to distance himself from everyone? Why is his campiagn always "denouncing" someone or another? It's not a fvcking coincidence, open your eyes. |

taku, ever heard of Bill Ayers?
sounds like obama has you in his little line.
and that's another great point, what about his pastor? that's just crazy.
mccain fought for this country, he almost gave his life twice for YOU.
what has obama done? had dinner with a known terrorist and sat in an anti-american church? dont' even get me started on obamas funding or ACORN.
whatever floats your boat. this country is going no where, fast. |

skimboarder, thats like saying you went to the same school as someone who shot up a school and was a "domestic terrorist"... since you knew of the guy you must be connected to terrorism.... obama didnt even know the dude back when he was involved with that organization.... and now bill is a renown professor.... get your facts strait
btw if you are in politics you are in someones pocket.... politicians never get where they are by themselves... oh and that includes the amazing mccain... even he has an agenda... so dont pretend he is a saint just cause he was trapped in a bamboo cage for a bit... _________________ PAVT since '05/'06 |

Keating 5 anyone? McCain = scum...
Obama probably has dirt to his name, but his motivation for being in politics and the content of his character are far more appealing to me than anything John McCain brings to the table.
If you can read, check out one of Obama's books, he's a surprisingly modest dude with the ability to come to terms with his shortcomings and the ability to admit when he's wrong. Those 2 traits alone could have saved us plenty of hell these last 8 years... _________________ √ |

Im going to have to agree that I dont think Mccain is scum.
He did do quite a good service when in teh military being a POW and what not and the fact that he didnt talk is pretty boss.
I think his campaign has been very negatively rooted which is a problem but when you are that old its hard to get people to agree with decisions on things.
Including campaign managers.

Can someone who uses this argument explain to me why this somehow makes McCain a better candidate? I admire his patriotism and what he went though for this country. But I fail to see how there is any logical connection between being a good soldier and being a good president. The whole IDEA if putting a "citizen" in control of the military is a check on the military.
Keep on drinking the koolaid, it will all be gone soon anyhow.
And yes, Obama is a muslim terrorist, jihad dirka dirka dirka.
PS: What happened to McCain's campaign's promise of weekly press conferences and "transparency." Hell, Govener Palin hasn't EVER had a press conference since she became his VP. I would like to see the medical records for both McCain and Biden, I think both things are relevant to the public. _________________ The aforementioned postings and musings are the opinions of myself in their entirety and are not the opinions of wakeskating.com
