What was at the top of the list for Best Trick landed this weekend? Did any of the pros ride? I didn't see much in the video?

BIG Shuv, It probably helps to understand what you're reading first. I'm talking about the naming and not how "cool" the actual trick is. That 90-out malarkey came from wakeboarding, as far as I can tell. Regardless, it sucks. A front board to fakie is the appropriate name for the same maneuver.

read a skating magazine or something. I'm sure it will help.

cyclone268, that of course is no offense to you...

ya but wakeskating you techincally can't do anything fake so 90 out can still apply, but hopfully we'll get it towards skateboarding and away from wakeboarding. also, lets say i came in to the wake switch set up like fakie on a skateboard and did a front lip, big sping out. would it be a fakie big spin still

you can't fakie ollie but you can still ride (and thus ride away) fakie. The only time "to fakie" gets confusing is on switch slides.

ezekiel701, the video did not do much justice to how much more went down...

Nick robinson did front board shuv, boardslide back pretzel, boardslide 270 shuv,

I landed front board to blind, front board shuv, and a boardslide big and then cut out on the rope.

ben horan did front nose, front nose shuv.

and there was a lot of jet ski riding that was not filmed. but it was hard for DC to film all of it because he was driving and all of this stuff to help out. I wish there would have been someone who just covered the event and nothing else. overall though it was an epic event and if you didn't go you missed out...

lllongneck, if you're being sarcastic, that's cool (and with your caps lock, that's what I'm sensing). It's not something I feel needs to be beat, but I also believe in respecting what came before you, and it's retarded to re-name something with an even worse name when it's already been established and pretty straight forward to follow. Hence, the correction.

And yes, you can land fakie on a wakeskate.

electricsnow, he's just agreeing with you ,as do I. He's been skatin since before most of the kids on here were born, so he knows the roots of trick names. That and he's just a grumpy old man that doesn't want to see the names butchered, hahaha. We laugh about what some of the stuff is called all the time.
