Construction has started on a small skatepark at I.G. Levy park in Pascagoula Mississippi. Looks like it may be done in a month or two. If anyone near by wants to know where it is just let me know. very simple set up but sometimes that is for the best. Can't wait to run over my first fruit booting roller blade tard!

Looks like the contractor knows what he is doing. Wont know for sure until i see how smooth the surface is and the transitions. I have seen some nightmare set ups in my time. Gulfport Mississippi spend a ton of cash back in 2000 building a huge park that was useless. You had to be David Blain to find a line in there. It even had a nasscar bank like for racing cars! Needless to say i managed to win a few comps there without killing myself.

Talk to the people working there, see if they know whats up, if not got to the park board or who ever owns the land and try and get it done right. I've seen skateparks built by non sp builders and it was textured like a sidewalk, the design was unskateable anyway.

I agree that if the guys who float the concrete are clueless the surface will be too ruff. I don't know if my input will make any difference , but i guess its worth a shot. I remember a park in Boca Raton aruond 1996 that was real ruff. Impossible to keep speed there.

im sure you can go to the city and see who the gave the job too. then research that company and see whats up. if they are shady and have no clue what they are doing speak up. it would be worth it in the end. your input alone might not be a lot but you and all your friends is. USA USA USA
