It was a little sad to see Norm bomb the way he did, but at the same time I knew what he was going for and I think he just missed it. In the linked article it says Norms set was the only original part of the roast but in truth his whole set was rehashed jokes from decades ago. While it was different then everyone else's material, I think he would have done better to go up with fresh jokes delivered in the very clean and proper style he was going for.
And, for the record, Bob Saget is really the worst kind of comedian ever. Smash

It wasnt a bomb at all, do you really think that he was trying to kill with material liek that? Everyone else on those lame ass roasts tells rehashed jokess: gay jokes, old lady's vagina jokes, etc.

Norm was making fun of the whole thing; roasting the roast if you will.
Don't let it go over your head.

88skisupreme, when you are a comedian and you barely get chuckles at most of your jokes its called bombing. He bombed because most, if not all, of the people he was performing for did not understand what he was getting at. The only reaction he got out of the crowd was nervous, forced laughter.
As far as the other comedians, there is a difference between rehashing subjects (gay jokes, wrinkly vaginas, etc) and actually rehashing classic one liners word for word. He may as well have used the "I just flew in from xxxxxxx and boy are my arms tired."

What I meant was he wasn't there to get laughs. He was there to make a mockery of the whole event, and at that he suceeded.
