My dad and i have been working on this project over the summer (i know wrong time to be working on a winch) and we finally finished it about 2 weeks ago. i had been planning and researching building the winch for some time before and thinks to this website and similar ones the building process went by super smoothly. Its a fairly simple winch no breaks or releasing spools etc. just the basics.
6.5 princess auto motor
Tav2
Home made spool (machined aluminium)
2x2 steel frame (home made)
600ft blue amsteel(not pictured)
72-tooth gear
Fair lead
2 releasing wheels
Handle (fits into trailer hitch)
Sorry its not shiny and new eny more the pictures were taken after its second beach session. |

Sick man nice work.. where did you score the wheels, and can you post some pics of how they're attached? That long handle is a sweet idea _________________ ------------------------------------------------------
