i just thought i'd post it because i saw it on a video on the berrics website(best site in the world, check it out), and it makes alot of sense
when wakeskating, or skateboarding, or any board sports
people try and tell you this darwin theory textbook style on learning tricks, from one trick to another, like you have to learn kickflips before varials, varials before tres, tres before bigflips, heels before v heels, v heels before laserflips, etc
i'm not saying learning them in that order is dumb or wrong at all, just learn its trick as its own and you will have a much better understanding of it
the example he gives is a v heel is a lion, and laserflip is a tiger, never has a lion ever came from a tiger, or a tiger for a lion, different animals, different tricks
and make sure to eat your rct's _________________ Team Dream Sleds

bob., ya its an interesting perspective but I dont think its the way to go.
you can still look at a trick as its own but you have to take steps.
you have to take your time and learn the basics and it will take you so far in style and progression.
you cant start learning jukes in soccer when you havent learned to control the ball yet.
and if anything... vheel is a cub and a laser heel is a lion. the tricks grow into each other. |

Wouldn't that mean they didn't go for darwin style? Wouldn't it go ollie then shuv with the darwin style. So darwin ftw? |

has anyone here landed vflips before kflips? I honestly think that a vflip would be easier to learn first. _________________ integrity-wake.com | chriscut.com |

Chris Barcellos, that's what I posted about in the Trick Tips section, I can varial the skateboard, but not kickflip, so vflips would come easier to me on the wakeskate.
But I think certain tricks do need to be learned before others, style=everything in my opinion. I'd rather see a clean 3-shuv vs. a sketchy kickflip, but that's just my thoughts. _________________

well i mean to an extent, not any trick, im not saying you should learn kickies before ollies or tre flips before 3 shuvs or anything along those lines
im just saying look at each trick as its own and you'll have a better understanding of it, not just an evolution of another trick you know _________________ Team Dream Sleds
