i have tried and tried, but i have never seemed able to do an ollie. is there anything that would make it easier such as boat speed, or my footing on the board? any tips would be great.

to me, the key to ollieing is getting your feet up when you jump. i like to rock forward a little bit and then back while jumping off with my back foot and then leveling it out with my front foot when i peak. but i figured it out that you can ollie as high as you can get your feet up. its scary at first but just try to go higher little by little.

relax when you do it, don't think about it so much... just remember you gotta get your feet up. but hit me back when you get it dialed... my buddy kevin has been tryin to ride with me for a yr. now, and he can barely get up. and i've tried everything. HAHA
tell me what worked for you, so i can tell him.

p.s. it's time to migrate south.

shinseth, buy a skateboard, a good idea since it is cold most of the year. i think skateboarding is key. and if someone wants to make fun of you for not being able to ollie, tell them to go F themselves. that's not what wakeskating is about. have fun and good luck.

I don't think skateboarding ollies will help that much. I find every spring I can only ollie like a foot and it takes me a longggg time to get the skate ollie out of my muscle memory.

Get a wide stance, bend those knees, stomp your backfoot hard and sortof hop with the board as it comes up. DON'T slide your front foot but instead try to just push it out a little infront of you and suck your back leg up with the skate. Land with the board level and your feet wide and in about the same spot you started your ollie with. Hopefully it helps.

maybe post a vid of your attempts next time so we can see whast your doing wrong.

Alright I take that back if you can't ollie on either then practicing on a skate would help give you a bit of the feel. I just found that my ollies would turn back to skateboard style ollies from skateboarding and snowskating for 8 month so my ollies in the spring would be small and not stable. Maybe just because I'm rusty
