ok so ive always supported hyperlite skates mercilessly... til i rode sumthing else for the first time! i tried like 4 peoples boards at OWC, none hyperlite and i liked every single one better than my board. i sold my scape within an hour (for $35 more than i bought it Twisted Evil ) i ended up liking the '03 kampus k39 more than the rest so i ended up ordering one of those kampus' off ebay for $55 and it comes tommorow Very Happy

moral of the story... try and demo every single board you can. if ur on the boat with someone who came from another town or something and hes got some new board, dont ride yours, ride his. try every board you can and figure out which one you like the best. so... anybody have a similar experience?

its got a lot more foot space than the cassette and its lighter than the swing so i can ollie higher i went out today with it and ollied about 6 inches higher than i normally do. dont get me wrong i love my swing it just gets tiring (sp) when you go out and try 540s and spins, maybe its just the way i do them but whatever. and i love trying to surf the wake and my cassette wouldnt change edges that fast. people say that it would blow away on w2w jumps but ive never lost it, have you?

Me and Che Blanc have the same views. In the three days I've had my k39, I've done 3 or 4 new tricks that I wasn't even close to landing with my Cassette 3-D. I lost some ollie height, but eh, I just have to get used to it.

...and you guys wonder why i always tell people to demo as much as they can before they buy things...

anyways im glad you were able to ride some different boards. it really gives you an idea of what you are missing, and it also gives you the satisfacting of knowing that you ARE riding the best board for you...not what hyperlite thinks, or what the guy at the boardshop thinks, or what we think.

i went from a catalyst 112, to a liquid force concave 41 and the change is unbeleivable. Today i landed way more new stuff than i had ever thought possible in one day. fs lip 270 shuv out, 360 shuv, toe side wake jumps and just some other lip combos. New boards are a must and always demo.

scott a, damn those boardshop employees Laughing

when i went to owc i was landing some ok stuff on my scape, but as soon as i got on the k39 i stuck 360 shuvit first try (that day). i landed a couple more 360 shuvits, 2/3 castalarials, and 3/4 handflip dockstarts with the k39. the other boards were a definite improvement over the scape, but the kampus k39 felt like it was made specifically for me. itll be here some time today Very Happy
