nice pics!! I wrote part of my name in the air using a lighter and extended exposure once but it wasn't nearly as interesting as your shots. What kind of light is that anyways..

exactly, only the lighter was a bad choice on my part because i couldn't move it fast without it trying to blow out.. but it's all i had at the time Smile

eviltweak, long exposure+tripod+ glowsticks/LED's or whatever else kind of light you want.

Very interesting shots JAM, good work. I haven't painted with light in a while now, might have to break out the old lazer pen.

I'd have to imagine that a lighter would suck bigtime. Those little pocket LED lights work great though. And houseboat trip + campfire = plenty of smoldering logs available to wave around in front of the camera. You were on the trip when Lindsy was spelling her and my names, right Dragon?

Good stuff in those pics. Painting with light is super fun! I freakin love night photography.
