Most people are going with a 6.5 HP Hond Knock Off.

This thread will help you with most of the stuff you need:
http://www.wakeskating.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12148&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

and btw its spelled winch.

Briggs are just all around good motors.
My friend has a grinch, and that thing is amazing.
Very Reliable, gas efficient, and easy to use!

Well, actually, it's worked fine for the past year and a half. We use it like 2-3 times a week almost all day, and today, something went wrong, and it went up in smoke. Sad

Late, but Mr. Blonde, DAMN! Laughing

it will work. You will be able to pull a pyramid of show skiers with 16 hp. lol

It will be on the heavy side so make sure it has wheels for transport.
