i like about waist to chest deep. The startup roller is so much bigger in deep water though.

for some reason it hurts me worse to fall in shallow water (5 feet deep) vs. deep water (50 feet deep)

i dont hit the bottom or anything, maybe the water pressure is greater Confused

I love riding in shallow water. It's so cool being able to see the bottom fly by. It makes it feel like you're hovering above dry land sort of. Like you're flying. Falling isn't that bad either unless you're in less than like 1.5-2ft Very Happy

I don't really think it matters, but when riding behind a wake boat or any boat for that matter you have to be in at least 10' of water for the wake to be at its best

if you want a big wake water displaces better when it is deeper. Therefore as far as wakes go deeper is better. Very Happy
