yep i have a wicked scar on the back of my leg from an infection...i couldnt help but keep riding the rest of the week, made some damn good progress so i was to stoked to not go back out.

I jackknifed our rooftop rail at about 22 with my hip and you want to talk about something worse than a grip tape burn...My scar is GNAR looks like tiger claws. Doctor put me on levaquin. I tell you what, with the water temp and bacteria growth, you need to squirt some lime juice on those whenever they happen. Burns like a mother, but prevents staph and some other skin/soft tissue infections.

brassmonkey, I had that same grip burn but mine was on my left leg.. My first time trying to jump the wake. I just jumped and let go of the rope and the board floated up next to me.. so you could imagine I was like "tsup?" in the air.. and then bam.. ripped my leg up.

fastgreens, not the bottled kind, have to squeeze it from a fresh lime. Whenever you are surfing live reef you do it to kill the bacteria on the pieces of coral that are stuck in you that you cant see. You think hydrogen peroxide is bad, lime juice is killer

My worst scar to date is from a grip burn. Slipped out on a reentry shuv and the grip sliced my elbow open. Left a scar like 3 inches long on my arm near my elbow

They are Desert racing bikes its all in the gearing.My bros bike goes 120mph

Wish i took a foto of the grip burn on my back, landed a kickflip with one foot, fell forward and did a nice large burn allll down my back, hurt like freakin crazy
