looks good, how much was your total build cost, love the wheels!
my only suggestion would be a spool that isn't so wide, you're more than likely going to run into a few issues, one being the line not spooling on very smoothly and two it building up in bunches and slipping down the sides while riding, this causes a jerky pulling and snapping motion of the line while you're riding, kind of a pain when setting up to hit a rail or gap. I used a similar setup with an atv hub, but kept it whole, then used sidewalls, 600 ft of line fits perfect and room for more, it's about the width of the roller roper feeder, and it spools on really smoothly and theres no slipping or jerking of the line while riding.
wow sorry for all that haha, just a suggestion though, worked well for me.

Soulprogression, thanks for the tip. Im waiting on the rope right now so ill see if theres a problem then.
motor-free!
tav-$130
fairlead-$15
chain, sprocket, axle, 3 hubs, rim-$148 (with s and h)
metal-free
wheels-free
pillow blocks-free
cutting discs-free
so under $300!!

good stuff, awesome build price, i did my spool very similarly at first and the width and only the bolts to wrap around caused those few problems for me, the smooth roundness of the hub made it spool up and off real nice, let me know how it goes.

I didn't really realize how cheep it was until a added it up in that post. Me and my buddy split the cost so only like $150 a piece.

LFArmada, you will want to have a releasing spool with the TAV.

its nice to have but i wouldn't say its a must have

looks solid
you can usually pop the belt off of your tav and pull the rope out just as easy as if you had a releasing spool.

how important is the splash guard? a lot of winches I see don't have them.
I was thinking about putting wing nuts on the hub holding on the sprocket so i could slide the sprocket off the hub to release the rope.

A splash gaurd is pretty important. With out one you get soaked and so does your engine.
It is big a plus to have one.
