I wear the oneill checkmate now. that vest is the most comfortable vest I have ever worn, I love it.

Previously I wore the jet pilot a-10. the a-10 is a nice vest too. However if you were to get knocked out while wearing it your buddies on the boat better rush to come pick you up. I tore my knee really badly while wearing one... I had to hold my breath underwater as i held my destroyed limb. It doesn't keep my mouth/nose above water.

I before the a-10 I wore the jet pilot cell block which is coast guard approved. that thing floats you so well!

Chris Barcellos, The A-10 always seems to unzip on me and fall half way off before i notice its fizzle up.

jeffe, I actually rocked a vest like that for awhile when I would wakeboard. Those were actually really nice because they fit snug against your body. but I always had a wetsuit top on.

I always rock coast guard approved, pretty much for the same reason as chris. I blew my knee out wakeboarding years ago and it would have sucked to not have had an approved vest (that floats you) on. I'm not too picky. I wore a stearns vest for years until I left it in FL two years ago and it got thrown out (RIP- Laughing ) and now I wear another shiznackle foam jobby (stearns-esque) with buckles.
