| I have never ridden behind a winch, but i don't want to deal with gas prices and begging people to let me ride behind their boat, so a winch looks like the best idea. I have welders and that type of stuff, i just need to know how big of a engine i will need. I am 200 lbs as well as most of my friends. i would like to do deep water starts if possible. Any suggestions? |

If I was a baller, I'd go with a v-twin or a murdered out Kohler.

i got my tav off ebay for WAY cheeper than any retail seller.
A comet 30 series tav will work fine with a 8 hp. It will work with a 8.5 hp. It will probably still work with a 10 hp. |

I can get a 40 series for $10 more than a 30 series on ebay. Will it make a difference ? What would you guys do ? _________________ Go Balls Deep Or Go Home |

| Montgomery, you will not regret it if you buy the 30 series rather than the 40 series. 8 hp motors dont have enough torque to need the 40 series. |
