Okay so today I was riding, pretty much all day... like I do every day now. Thanks to my new found addiction of wake skating.

I ride an Anthem 40 2007 version. I have only been riding it for maybe a little over a month, if that. I don't hit rails, don't hit kickers. Just ride behind jet skis. I have landed roughly 20 shuv its total on this board, and the only other decent thing I can do is an I/O frontside 180. So really you would think this brand new Anthem 40 would hold up to those riding conditions.

Well, not today. I was doing an I/O 180 on the startup and all the sudden the board just stops and I fall. At first I was mad because I never really fall on those anymore, and thought it was something I did wrong. Then when I turn to look at my board. There are pieces of the bottom just sticking in the air.

I ended up ripping the pieces off, and continued to ride, landed a shuv it on this broken POS.

Here are the pics:

Moral of the story is that no matter what the guy at the local ski shop tells you, none of these generic name boards are any good. This is practically a brand new board and look at it. Broke back beach!!!

Speaking of "New" boards. Thank god I ordered my Mogley yesterday, but I guess until that comes, I'll have to ride this broken board and hope it doesn't completely break until then.

DirtyCracker, Whatever, at least I landed a shuv after it broke. I would be heartbroken right now if I hadn't.

Broken board, can't land shizzle, horrible day!

Good day though, you are getting really consistent on all your tricks.

all LF wood boards are made in the US for 2008.

if you see a 08 LF athem at a shop you will see the difference just by picking it up. also the new shape is much better.

Gnarly Dancer 42,

Thats the one I ordered online yesterday, so I was already getting a new board, just breaking mine today was funny because for some reason I saw it coming.

Edit: Wakemitch, I have ridden the 2008 42" Anthem. It did feel a lot better you are right. Both suck though equally.

Dude just cause u broke one board doesnt mean that all of that companys boards are shizzle. Hell i broke my NEW bi level just yesterday. That doesnt mean that no one should not ride a new, its a matter that i shouldnt land kicflips upside down Razz. Id be careful cause im sure some people would get real pissed off seeing posts like this.
Lol sorry to single u out and all Razz

jake .R., Okay, so you are saying I should buy one of their better boards? I guarantee one of the Devotid, Integrity, New, or Oak board companys cheapest boards could ride better than Liguid Forces best boards.

?

Isnt that an inherent contradiction?

You have no right to tell people not to buy a LF when the only one you've ridden is one of their lower end skates. Try and ride one of their real concaves (hampson, reed) or their bi-levels before you become a new part of the apparently populous "I hate LF" club.

Mabye so, but who are you to say so? To be honest, you are being quite a bit of a jerk. Everyone of the companys you just mentioned has almost definatly had broken boards, and the owners of the broken boards didn't complain and cry online, saying that they would never buy from them again. Its sad that you're board broke, I feel for you, but the title of the thread is just going to make you seem like an ignorant jerk.

Ride the Hampson or Reed. It'll change your mind about LF.

The Kid, Yea you are right that is a contradiction, but I am just a little disappointed in this board I have. I am just saying there are better boards to buy than Liquid Force. Is that not true? I am sure the Reed or Thompson ride well. But at what price?

$250.00 or more, I would rather pay what I paid for the NEW which was only $165.00.

I changed the title.

gporter, its an opinion! If everybody liked the same board then no wakeskating companys would exist! Somebody out there somewhere loves LF and there style is best suited for it! My bro Yuri LOVES LF, and rides better on the SST than any other board. Mabye for you and many other people LF is not the best choice, but it is an OPINION! If you are dissapointed then cool, dont ride LF again, no problemo, but people who ride LF or would like to try one can be lead very astray by you posting about a low-end skate breaking.

BTW, sorry about biting your head off, I'm just a bit angry at all of the LF hate that has been going around lately...

The Kid, honestly there are so many kids around the world that wakeskate that have never been on this forum and never will. If everyone on this forum stop buying LF i dont think they would notice they wouldnt close down and quit making boards. Alot of the smaller companys on here have had alot of success because of wakeskaters on this forum.

LF is a good company for sure they put alot of money back into our community because they can. We got some companys that cant afford the materials to produce boards in a large scale. More kids that walk away from buying mass produced boards and find out that there are small companys that are really making awesome boards the better for our sport
