I just picked this board up yesterday at NC board shop in Los Gatos, on my way to the new Santa Cruz park.

here's what they say about it:

Quote:
PowerLyte's super thin, 8-ply maple veneers and bullet-proof top layer yield the strongest, lightest skateboard decks available. Constructed 90% of wood, it's the other 10% that makes PowerLyte decks incredibly strong and 22% lighter. Compared to conventional wood decks, PowerLytes flip quicker and are 150% stronger.

I bought this deck because I'm sick of snapping boards after only skating them four times. I paid 67.99 for it without any grip. The top layer is fiberglass, but it seems to be pretty thin. The ride of the board blew my mind. It snaps up on ollies like no other skateboard ive rode. It also felt way more still and stable. the board wasnt flexing a lot under my feet which was really nice.

I suck at pretty much everything except for ollies and grinds. My ollies were popped soooo high and so well on this board way better than any Zero or blanks that I have rode (and cracked/snapped) recently. It seriously made me love skateboarding a lot more.

Now i cant wait to skateboard again. This board is so sick!

Has anyone tried one of the libtech skateboards? i want to try one of those next.

I just wanted to share my stoke and also my new favorite board. We'll see how long this one lasts.

When I worked at our skate shop we sold one (but we only brought in one at a time, so that doesn't count for much) but I never heard how it worked. One other kind of deck you might want to check is a foundation or a toy machine with their fiberlam treatment.

That sucks you were snapping boards so fast...I'm not sure if they were just poorly built, but one thing that's crucial is landing bolts.

Anyway, definitely post how that board treats you because I'm kind of curious about these other construction methods.

LibTechs are nice, real nice. Ive seen one get run over while hillin and didn't it get tweaked. They rock, and the longboards flex so nice.

blinds eternal lifes are sick and if u break it u seriously send it back and a new one comes in a week. almost has the impacts that are sick too! but if ur not that good and snapping decks its only cause ur not landing on ur bolts. i can break a board in one kickflip on flat ground if i dont land properly. so fix ur feet son!
