|
|
Ok so im just about ready to buy my first wakeskate and try wakeskating for the first time this weekend. I have a couple that I am looking at and just wanted to get some opinions on them. Im 6'1 195lbs so I was thinking I might need a 42" maybe I dont really know. Anyways I can get a really good deal on a brand new 07 byerly legacy or I was thinking about a couple of the oak wakeskates I was looking at the dirt worshiper or the fur chucker. I realize that the byerly and the oaks are totally different kinds of boards but just wanted to see which of these would be better for me being a beginner. Also if you have any other suggestions on a board let me know. Thanks guys. |

We are about the exact same and right now I'm riding a 43" Mogley (Newwakeskates.com) and getting ready to order a Windsor bi-level which is 41". If I were you I wouldn't go any bigger than 43" and no smaller than 39-40" and it's personal preference but I personally don't like the Byerly at all I would go with any Oak over the Byerly but that's just my opinion _________________ Go Balls Deep Or Go Home |

if you wear bigger than a size 10 the concave on the legacy is going to be hellish. i ride the 42 and i'm 5'7 145 size 9. it fit's my feet perfectly, but took time getting used to _________________ "I said take me to the sea, cause that is where I want to be. jmdfd415, I ride an oak and I love it. They are so nice... Since you are just starting out I think that you will enjoy a larger board, mabey like a 42" |

jmdfd415, dirtworshiper, the difference between this one and the team is .5 of an inch, the team is more expensive and comes with udders which I doubt you will be using. |

so true dude...just have fun with it and really enjoy every second you're out there...as for tricks...i would just learn to carve and stuff for now and then maybe try a few ollie every once in a while...but most important is to just have fun and everything else will follow. _________________ -Cape Canaveral- |
