One thing that bothers me about some of these Integ fans ranting and raving and pushing these boards is that they are some of the same ones that have, in the past, gotten upset or "tired of hearing about such and such brands" and caused backlash amongst their own community. Talk about the pot callin the kettle black.

Nothing against Integrity though, I have total repect for the guys in the company and in what they do. When Schmaltz and his guys post, they're super professional about it and don't push anything, they just give info and let you make the choice for yourself. That's exactly how it should be.

every company have these kids that have in some way been stoked about their fav company and thats all they want to hear about or talk about. it is taken too far sometimes.
company loyalty in wakeskating is alot stronger than some of the other "lifestyle sports" that i have been involved with.

Trust me, I know this, our company has had people on both sides of the fence and I've had to ask some of our loyalist to please chill out before things got bad. Company loyalty is rad and I'm cool with it, just gotta know not to take it too far over the line.
The only problem I have is with the pot callin the kettle black thing, aka hypocricy.

I'd say the majority of posters on here are adults, communicating with kids... There is bound to be a disconnect in whats over the top, and whats common ground. At times I have to remember that, and ask if it's worth commenting.

I remember when I was 16... and how stoked I got on stuff... Crap I remember hounding Tony Finn so I could get my Skurfer Sponsorship package, and I waited for UPS everyday super impatient... I'm sure I would have fired off 100 thoughts if they had the Internet back then... I would have rambled on sure with many posts.

what really brings down the product innovation and quality is kent watersports owning most of the major wakeboard companies. i think the best thing about companies like integrity is that they can do what they want because they dont have to think about how it might affect other companies goings on. im not down with outsourcing EVERYTHING to china and the u.a.e.(boo arabs)

but integ is a very good skateboard like wakeskate for advanced wakeskater with skateboard background but expensive

but there are a lot good wakeskates out for 2008

mojo, I think that rhetoric is semi-archaic. I see your point, and in the past, to some degree, I've argued similarly. but I think what holds innovation, or at least quality back is what the actual company is willing to put into it. I think that if it were all related, with kent being the common thread, hyperlite, LF and all the others would be in the same boat. But it seems as though LF has re-comitted to wakeskating and their boards are showing it. the 08 concaves really do look solid and so far I have heard very few negative reviews on the SST.

Production on most of the LF wakeskates has also been brought back to the US.

CWB is also under that umbrella and now they are trying to commit to a serious wakeskate with a really promising rider. So I think part of it is just recognizing the value that's always been present in wakeskating.

and as far as kent goes, I think it's a double edged sword that I don't feel like fully discussing, but one thing to consider is they managed to bring a certain level of stability to wakeboarding that no other investor was willing to put up. So yes, of course it's a sensitive subject but it's also something to seriously think about...for me, certain other other issues/developments in the industry led me to at least consider other aspects to the argument.

but yes, integrity is in a unique position for at least two reasons a) there's some good financial backing and b) there's a mind at work that runs independent of any other waves of technology that are present in the industry. both are crucial, but Factor b is super important when it comes to advancements in technology/design (unless you're going to front and buy the technology off of someone else). A common thing in nearly every industry is to take something that's established and make it better--that's very common in snowboarding. It's not always bad, but there are others that just don't even work in that realm, or if they do, it's finding something else that tries to achieve a similar end with a completely different means and philosophy. At least, that's what I see.

as for the user base of this site...I actually feel like a lot of the users are younger. There are definitely some more established and mature posters on here, others seem to leave after awhile...but I think it can all go both ways, and some times seemingly mature people are really immature. Some people are swayed by various forms of rhetoric, but I don't think it's always dependent on age, but sometimes, it's what you're looking for or really believe in. For others, alignment can depend on what's cool, but it is what it is.

feelnjstfine, to be honest i love the to watch people who are sooooooooo stoked on a product that they try to push it in any and every way they can. I mean i have grown a lot since i started postin on this forum and i will still push the board that i love at the time as much as i can. I would never try to stop that. Some people see over exposure as a negative thing, i see it as stoke (mind u i dont have to deal with that over exposure on a daily basis so it prolly would get annoying).

But at the same time i can see where u are coming from. People in some instances can act a lot like sheep, like hey everyone likes this board so, so will I. But hey popularity is what makes the world go round.

I personally will and always will let people know what boards i like. I love the NEW bi level (dub stix 40.5") cause it fits my riding style, and i will also push the integ 06 (nick taylor 41") cause it is the snappiest craziest most beautiful board i have ridden. And if anyone told me to stop trying to push the sport or board company i love cause of over exposure or whatever, i would laugh in their face cause im just showing how i feel, its free world, i can show people what i love if i want to. so yeah Smash

PS i would like to make a mention to those people who said just who cares, feelnjstfine, is just displaying what he feels and i really respect him for saying it, i mean this is a public forum and most of the people who post here are from nations that allow free speech so let him display his feelings and if u dont like it then dont like it, but dont stop free speech, explain why u dont like it, I know I am.

But to be completely honest and i finish my rant on this note, is that people are people, they get stoked up over small things and they get annoyed over smaller things, we have to let people have their opinions or this world will go to shizzle. Shred the best u can and get stoked on every ride and this is what makes this sport the best in the world Very Happy
