when i tie my winch to a tree or whatever it kicks up bigtime and ollie's seem to make it lurch forward and slack up. does anybody have a solid method of staking down the hitch? i was thinking of drilling a hole and putting a long threaded rebar type piece with a wing nut to screw down into the ground, but could use a little info. thanks. |

I use steaks to secure mine. I would say a couple 2.5' lengths of rebar would do the trick. |

Plus it helps if the driver stands on the hitch while driving to keep it down. |

put an I-bolt on the front half of each side, and pit stakes through them, it holds good. _________________ Pulldozer Winch Systems

strap that sucker in the bed of your truck, i know everyone is telling you different things, but this works well for me, ratchet it through the tie downs and it won't budge, and if you don't have a pickup then do what they say! |
